Course Design
Just as no location has the same terrain or species of trees, no program has the same objectives, budget limitations, or staff resources. For these and other reasons, each course is different from the next, whether it is a low ropes course, high ropes course, one of our "T" or "Square" designs, or a custom design that fits your program's location or budget. With such variance from program to program, we begin with your end goal in mind and design a course backwards from there. We plan for training, safety equipment, program needs, population demographics, region, terrain, access, and course elements. When we get to the actual construction of a course, we ensure that a course meets or exceeds the stated goals outlined during the initial intake or site visit.

Design Ideas / Concepts
Designing a quality course takes time, effort, and experience. It is time consuming and we do our best to educate potential clients about all the options available. However, we do sometimes have time constraints or do not always have the resources to design and bid on projects based on speculation. For this reason, we have created several standard course layouts with optional activities. A course may be designed to have progressing levels of difficulty, the same level of difficulty throughout, or just contain a nice variety of challenges.

Materials used for construction projects are high quality and exceed minimum guidelines used by other vendors. From belay cables to clamps and fist grips, from multilines and belay ropes to harnesses and carabiners, EBL uses the best products available for ropes challenge course construction.
EBL typically provides between two and four builders for most construction projects, reinforcing our commitment to quality, safety, and a complete job delivered on time. As to the appearance of the course, we design elements that are enhanced by the environment in which we build.
